What Our Clients Say
Informative and engaging. Parveen and Williams curated and narrated a superb tour of Cubbon Park and Malleshwaram for our group. The tour began in Cubbon Park and Praveen quickly contextualized the origins of Bangalore and the Park, drew our attention to the spectacular trees and their foreign origins, brought us to the sanctity of State Central Library, showed us the High Court of Karnataka, the ancient hero stones at the Venkatappa Art Gallery and the statues of Cubbon and Queen Victoria. They then drove us over to Malleshwaram, a deeply spiritual neighbourhood with numerous temples, shrines, service organizations, and sadly, a heritage hotel slated for demolition, knitted together within a patchwork of picturesque alleyways. Throughout, Parveen shared his vast knowledge and archival photos. I highly recommend Praveen and Williams as a way to immerse and learn about the rich history and unfolding present of Bangalore.
This was truly a highlight of a two week trip to India. Praveen brought Bangalore to life and really opened our eyes to the depth of history and culture that the city has to offer. His knowledge of the history of the city and its people has changed the way we look at a big Indian city and he has left us with memories that will come to the fore whenever we think of India. We had a full day excursion which included the gardens, market, food, government buildings and religious buildings -a really broad mix but each element was well covered. Thank you for an amazing day.
“I had never thought of doing a tour of the city I call home…but I discovered so much history and interesting nuggets of information from Praveen, about places I hadn’t ever visited, despite being an old resident of Bangalore. The drive through the city in a clean and comfortable coach on a Saturday was quite enjoyable.”
We’ve been to Bangalore before but we saw many places we had not visited before. Praveen was very knowledgable and a delight – the arrangements were easy to make and he even picked my husband and I up from our hotel. We ran about 7 miles in the early morning with stops to describe the botanical history in Lalbergh or to visit the bull temple. You could run less – the tour is tailor-made for you and the pace is as you would like. We loved some of the touches like the mango juice in the park or the stop for morning coffee with the locals at breakfast time. This is one of the highlights of our India trip this time. We would definitely repeat this tour or do another running tour with Praveen and we welcome him for a running tour in the New Forest in the UK. Breakfast at the end of the tour was one of the best we have had
Six friends and I from were in Bangalore for the wedding of one of our Harvard Business School classmates at the end of January. When we realized we had a half day free, I called Praveen, who I had found on TripAdvisor, and arranged a tour on extremely short notice. I am so deeply grateful, as the tour ended up being a highlight of our trip, and there is absolutely no way we could have seen so many of the essential sights in Bangalore or learned so much about the city’s history on our own. I’ve travelled extensively and this tour was among the very best I’ve ever been on. Praveen is not only a fountain of knowledge and wisdom but by the end of the tour, I felt like we were old friends. Absolutely not to be missed!
